In January 2004 Ilona founded Apathy is Boring; a national non-partisan organization that aims to use art and technology to re-engage youth in the democratic process, where she is currently the Executive Director. Ilona continues the fusion art & activism, having worked at events such as the Grey Cup and the Juno Awards with artists such as Melissa Auf Der Maur, Nelly Furtado, K'naan, Zaki Ibrahim, and many more. She was recently named one of five women changing the world by Canadian Dimensions Magazine, and was featured in "Notes from Canada's Young Activists".
