Barats & Bereta is a sketch comedy duo made up of Luke Barats and Joe Bereta. They began collaborating back in 2003 at Gonzaga University, where they were both active in the theater and broadcasting departments, and led the university's improv comedy troupe, Gonzaga University Theatre Sports. They originally began creating short videos to amuse their friends. The videos were compiled on a website and also made it to YouTube in 2006. They quickly earned a large fan base and their videos were viewed millions of times over, making them an internet phenomenon. But their success did not stop at YouTube. Major networks approached the duo, but they made a deal with NBC, for whom they'll be writing a sitcom. They also sold a movie idea to an independent movie studio and have won several awards.
